The simple process of how it works! We take your tapes (VHS, VHS-C, Video 8 (8mm), Hi8 and MiniDV) and transfer them to DVDs. You tell us the order in which you want them transferred and how you want them displayed (in DVD or clam shell cases). Our staff takes all the right steps to transfer your memories to DVD in the best format possible.
Gather all your tapes you need transferred. This can be any combination of tape formats. Just be aware that the types we transfer are: VHS, VHS-C, Video8 (8mm) Hi8 and Mini DV.
Review your tapes to see if you want any of them on a single DVD and not combined with other tapes. (Like your Wedding VHS tape on a DVD of it's own)
Decide if you want your DVDs finalized in a DVD Case or Clam Shell Case.
Then you'll fill out the Video Transfer Order Form. This sums it all up for our staff to begin the process of tape transfer. You will tell us the order to transfer your tapes to DVD, which tapes you want on a single DVD and any other special instructions.
Our Steps
After we receive your tapes, we will inventory them to verify that they fit the tape formats we accept.
Next, we will put them in the order you specified on your order form.
Then we start the process of transferring your tapes onto our DVD machine. As the tape is going on to the machine it automatically adds 5 minute chapter marks to your DVD. We load up as many tapes as will fit on the machine.
Next we review that tapes, title them, delete any "dead air" and most importantly add additional chapter marks at the beginning of each of your events. (This is most helpful when you jump through the DVD as you are watching it - you won't miss the beginning of any event!)
Transferring your tapes to DVD is next. We fit as many tapes as we can on each DVD (or according to your instructions).
Finally, when the DVDs are all burned, we design a DVD label and case for your order and assemble the DVDs in your cases.
