The simple process of how it works! Our staff will scan your items (photos, documents, slides and negatives) into high quality digital images. You send us the items you want to be digital and we go to work with our high quality photo scanners and produce photo CDs or Data DVDs with your digital images on them. Should you want enhancements done to any or all of your photos, we can do this also. Enhancement fees will apply.
Gather all your materials to be scanned. This can be a combination of photos, slides, negatives and documents up to 8"x10" in size. All photos must be removed from albums and frames.
Group your materials by date, theme, etc. (1988 photos, wedding photos, football photos, etc.)
Determine the quality (dpi) you want to have your items scanned at.
Then you will fill out the Digital Album Order Form. This tells our staff the details about your scanning project.
Package your items and send them to our lab for processing. Be sure to include the order form. See our FAQ for tip on properly packaging your materials for shipping.
Our Steps
Upon arrival, we will inventory your items, review your order form and determine if we have any questions for you.
Next we will begin scanning your items according to your instructions. Each item is cleaned before it is scanned. We want you to have the best quality digital image as possible!
If any photo enhancements are requested, we will do this at the same time as we scan your items.
When your project is finished, we will copy your items to a CD or Data DVD. There may be multiple CDs or Data DVDs, depending on the number of items and quality (dpi) they are scanned at. Larger images (higher quality scans) require more disk space.
Next we will re-package your materials and send them back to you, along with your digital image CDs and/or Data DVDs.
You are ready to enjoy your images in the digital format. Have fun with them!
